I Love You All - You Talented Bastards

Hey - Want a caricature?? Apply Here : [link] or here [link]

Off to Portland for a few days for another EPIC music festival :) Play nice while I'm gone and have some pretties from my faves:

*BRipin ~ A master of line and subtle shifts in atmosphere, Barrie's figures are alive on the page. I'm currently obsessing over his brush strokes but you should really go check out what this man can do with pastels. Plus, he's a super cool guy.

*draunaturel - Another groovy gent, Royce has this ability to create pulses of passion and energy in his paintings, mixing rough textures and smooth strokes to seduce you and make you want to reach out and touch the bodies beautiful he realizes.

~MattBenn8 ~ Can you honestly look at this and not be completely charmed? The vivid colouring and startled posture imbue this little dude with natural character.

~purpleorb - The individual pieces are in her gallery and they are lovely BUT you have to see it together and appreciate the blending bleed of violet to pink as the day grows. It`s a shame on all of us that she doesn't have more recognition.

~joereimer ~ colours, textures - a study in contrasts. His portraits tend to be these remarkably serene faces superimposed on dissolution and chaos and it works. So very well. You can follow the forms to complete the body or just sit back and stare into the mass, either way the work resonates.

~derekjones - To quote myself "This! This." This piece is soaked in atmosphere, delicate lighting elevating a simple scene into something breathtaking. Another pastel virtuoso and a frequent conspirator in the "Render Dani Speechless With Beauty" campaign I know you bastards have been organizing, Derek's work often plays with dissolving backgrounds and flirty focus that give real insight into what he sees in each session.

~throughangelseyes7 It's been months since I first saw this and the last two lines still run through my head. By turns wistful and whimsical, you MUST read this out loud and let the images sink in.

I salute you all, you talented bastards. :salute:
